Position Overview:
Crestview Preschool is seeking a highly motivated and organized Preschool Assistant Teacher who will support the Preschool Director and lead teacher in providing a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered learning environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education, exhibit strong interpersonal skills, and possess the ability to integrate Biblical principles into daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Preschool Director and lead teacher with daily classroom activities and routines.
  • Prepare and manage beginning-of-year forms, classroom materials, and resources.
  • Support classroom management and address discipline issues as needed.
  • Plan, prepare, and implement creative art lessons 2-4 weeks per month.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging daily Bible lessons, reinforcing Biblical truths and the Fruits of the Spirit.
  • Coordinate field trips and guest speaker visits.
  • Organize and execute classroom celebrations and events.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, addressing their questions and concerns.
  • Collect and manage tuition payments.
  • Capture classroom moments through photography and develop a graduation slideshow.
  • Maintain the preschool website calendar with accurate scheduling information.
  • Serve as the substitute teacher in the lead teacher’s absence, ensuring continuity of instruction and care.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Creativity in lesson planning and classroom activities.
  • Ability to integrate Biblical teachings into daily lessons and interactions.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn our core curriculum programs (Zoo-phonics, Learning Without Tears, and Pocket of Preschool).
  • Basic computer skills for website calendar management and slideshow creation.

Position Details:

  • Compensation: Commensurate with experience.

Work Schedule:
This is a part-time position with some evening and weekend hours required for special events or meetings.

Missions and Outreach Coordinator:

Position Type: Part-Time
 
Work Hours: *15 – 20 hrs   - Hours are typical but flexible as well

Wages: $20.00

Accountability: The Missions and Outreach Coordinator reports to the Lead Pastor and works closely with the Missions Committee and other ministry leaders.

Purpose: The Missions and Outreach Coordinator is responsible for leading the church’s efforts to reach the community and beyond through local and global missions, coordinating outreach events, and partnering with community organizations.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute outreach events, including Vacation Bible School (VBS), Trunk or Treat/Fall Festival, and Spring Outreach events (such as Easter).
  • Lead the missions team in organizing church’s annual Be The Church Weekend service projects and post weekend recap / celebration.
  • Work with the Missions Committee to coordinate outreach opportunities for the church, including food drives, Christmas drives, and Salvation Army bell ringing.
  • Build relationships with local organizations and community leaders to identify and facilitate outreach programs.
  • Work with other ministries to promote mission throughout all of the departments of the church.
  • Establish and help maintain connections between the church and the missionaries it supports.
  • Assist with marketing and promotion of outreach events through church bulletins, announcements, and social media.
  • Maintain records of outreach activities and evaluate the impact of the events on the community and congregation.
  • Collaborate with the Assimilation Director to help attendees and new members discover ways to participate in outreach and missions activities.
  • Provide regular updates to the Lead Pastor and the Board of Elders on outreach initiatives and their outcomes.

  • Experience in organizing and managing outreach or mission-related events.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with community leaders and organizations.
  • Experience in volunteer recruitment and management.
  • A heart for missions and a desire to serve the community.
