Crestview Community Church (C3) is a thriving non denominational church in Lafayette, Indiana. Since 1958, C3 has faithfully served its community and today welcomes approximately 400 people each weekend under the leadership of Lead Pastor Thom Redmond.
At C3, our mission is to provide the best opportunity possible for people to become fully developing followers of Jesus Christ. We believe students are not simply the church of tomorrow. They are a vital part of the church today.
We are seeking a Student Pastor who will invest deeply in students, equip leaders, partner with parents, and intentionally engage students where they live, learn, play, and gather throughout the community. This leader sees the community as an extension of the ministry and is passionate about helping students become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ.
Position Summary
The Student Pastor will provide vision, leadership, and discipleship for middle school and high school students by creating engaging environments where students grow spiritually, build authentic relationships, discover their gifts, and become active participants in the life of the church.
More than leading programs, this pastor will intentionally build trust with students and their families by showing up consistently, investing in their everyday lives, and pointing them toward Jesus. Whether in the church, at school events, on the athletic field, or throughout the community, this leader understands that meaningful discipleship begins with authentic relationships and earned trust.
The ideal candidate naturally earns the trust of students, parents, and volunteers through authenticity, consistency, and genuine care. This leader takes initiative, builds meaningful relationships, and is passionate about helping students follow Jesus, not only within the church, but throughout their everyday lives.

Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and shepherd a Christ centered student ministry that helps students know Jesus, grow in their faith, and become lifelong followers of Christ.
- Plan and lead engaging student gatherings that include worship, biblical teaching, small groups, fellowship, and opportunities for students to grow in their faith.
- Build trusted relationships with students and their families by investing in their everyday lives, providing discipleship, encouragement, pastoral care, and consistent spiritual leadership.
- Be intentionally present where students live, learn, play, and gather, building relationships that extend beyond the church and into the community.
- Recruit, equip, and develop a healthy team of adult volunteers who invest in students and model authentic discipleship.
- Partner with parents as the primary spiritual influence in their students' lives, encouraging and supporting them in the discipleship journey.
- Plan camps, retreats, mission trips, outreach events, and service opportunities that encourage spiritual growth, community engagement, and lasting relationships.
- Develop student leaders and encourage students to discover and use their gifts throughout the life of the church.
- Lead or oversee student worship while mentoring and developing student musicians and worship leaders.
- Provide responsible oversight of the student ministry budget, communications, and social media.
- Collaborate closely with the church staff and Board of Elders to advance the mission and vision of Crestview Community Church.

- A lifestyle that reflects Christ and models the values of Crestview Community Church.
Experience and Education
- Demonstrated experience leading, discipling, and investing in students is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in ministry or a related field is preferred.
- Recent college graduates, seminary graduates, ministry residents, and candidates with demonstrated leadership potential are encouraged to apply.
